Mission:
Show compassion to the most vulnerable population (homeless) in the city of Terre Haute, Indiana, by providing Blessing Bags filled with non-perishable nutritious snacks, water, and toiletries to meet the immediate need for food, water, and hygiene.
Vision:
Expand the Blessing Bags to include sleeping bags and tents.
Long term goal:
Provide an emergency shelter for the homeless and coordinate with other local ministries, and nonprofit organizations to continue to show compassion to this vulnerable population.
Why?
It is so easy to look the other way, when seeing someone with a homeless sign. It is human nature to subconsciously pass judgement about this person and their lifestyle. CEA Homeless Ministries offers a different perspective. The person you see is a mother's child. There is someone out there that loves them and is worried about them. There are so many possible reasons that led to this moment. Blessing Bags are a way to show compassion to this very vulnerable community. They may not all be addicts, but there is a high probability that many struggle with addiction.
Mission Verse
Matthew 25:40
40 And the King shall answer and say unto them, Verily I say unto you, Inasmuch as ye have done it unto one of the least of these my brethren, ye have done it unto me.
