Gloria Atcheson is an experienced registered nurse, mother, and grandmother. Her passion for helping others can be traced back through her twenty-eight years as a registered nurse. Ms. Atcheson is currently working as a neonatal intensive care nurse.

Driven by sheer determination, Gloria Atcheson takes pride in her work ethic. Her strengths include integrity, creativity, and innovation.  She has spent her lifetime facing and tackling difficult challenges.  Of the challenges throughout her lifetime, the most impactful is losing her son to a drug overdose. The Blessing Bags began as a result of her immense amount of grief from the loss of her son. Because of his passing, her journey led her to founding this ministry as a way to show compassion to a population most vulnerable to addiction.

As Founder and President, her goals include meeting the immediate needs of the homeless community and providing an emergency shelter within the city of Terre Haute. Outside of the hospital, she enjoys spending time with her daughter and grandchildren. Gloria Atcheson is proud to call Terre Haute, Indiana, home.
